Our philosophy

Our business model is based on the philosophy of Open Source Software.
An Open Source software is a programme for computer set up with a license that allows whoever owns the necessary competencies to improve and adapt it to his or her own discretion. From the beginning, we have founded a team of experts possessing a background of competencies and experiences related to the realization of products and Open Source solutions.
We strongly believe in the values of cooperation and sharing which are at the base of the Open Source approach. We are convinced that the application of collaboration techniques, typical of the community, could contribute to deeply innovating the productive process into the organizations.
We actively participate at the most important community as we believe incomparable for our customers the value derived by process of development draw by a diffused and supported participation. We highly respect every and each of our customers, as we believe they should have the opportunity to see how a software solution -that has been purchased by us- does it work and in the case how to make it better.
We believe in competencies. We don't like to tie down the customer.

Why is it worthwhile?

The Open Source software is a very worthwhile choice in terms of:

• Low cost - In many Administrations the price of the software determines a high expense, and the commercial licenses influenced and limited the customer choice. With the Open Source software the customer will never lose the right to use his own programmes: if a supplier fall trough, or decide to do not renovate the license, the customer could turn to another supplier in order to receive support, by keeping his own programmes.
• Security and Reliability - The software security increases when everyone has access to its source code. In fact, many people analyse the code of open source software and discover and correct problems as they come up, which is the most easy and quick way. All of this is possible thanks to the free exchange of information. Thanks to collaborations and news exchanges among intern community members, the open source software keeps evolving and being updated. The result is a more stable and timely product.
• Freedom - Software owners are generally only able to use applications developed by the same supplier, because suppliers make integration with different source software difficult, costly and often even impossible. Open Source software allows several products to interact together because it makes the code source available, thus having the advantage of entrust an unique platform which remains free.

The collaborative process (and the standards opened for interoperability) with which the Open Source software is created, verified, improved and diffused is exactly analogues to the one of the scientific knowledge's production.
